Tandem for Success
How many times have you gone into a situation with what you considered very good intentions, only to have it not go as you had planned? I know, me too. One of the things I have learned is that intentions are not very good on their own. They also need some dedicated attention to your actions to make sure they match your intention.
Intention is the setting of the course; your actions navigate the terrain to get you where you want to go. Often we feel so strongly about our intention that we think our passion alone will be enough to manifest it. In reality, intention without action is powerless. In his book The Four Agreements Don Miguel Ruiz explains that we judge ourselves by our INTENTIONS but we judge others by their ACTIONS indicating how important it is to be mindful of both.
Oftentimes, the course changes or we get distracted along the path, simply to end up in situations we regret and wonder what happened. But not any longer. The good news is that you have your feelings to help you stay on track. They will inform you to where you are or whether you need to adjust your course. Choose something that you intend to accomplish in your life and commit your actions to it: new job, promotion, better relationship, more freedom, more joy, or more satisfaction- whatever you want for you or those around you. Then invite your feelings to be your internal navigating voice. Enjoy the journey!
