Training

TrainingIn today’s highly-evolved, fast-paced society, interpersonal and communication skills are as important as intellectual abilities in achieving success.  We are no longer being judged only by how smart we are, but also by how well we handle ourselves and each other.  All workshops are designed to provide a better understanding of the role emotions play in our thinking and decision-making.  Although each workshop focuses on developing specific emotional intelligence skills, all of them can be customized to meet the unique needs of your team.  The following workshops are offered as half-day or full-day training.

Emotional Awareness

Restore Heart-Mind Balance

In a safe and interactive environment, participants will gain clarity and confidence as they learn to relate to emotions (your own and those of others) with awareness and choice.  You will learn techniques for identifying the full range of your emotions without ever getting overwhelmed.  In addition you will learn to decipher emotional messages so that you can respond instead of reacting to them and even use your feelings deliberately to simulate productive behavior.  This workshop will help you understand the hidden messages of uncomfortable emotions, such as stress and frustration, and sharpen your emotional intelligence to ensure top performance.

Emotional Fitness

Turn Stress into Opportunity

Dealing with stressful deadlines, difficult colleagues and cranky supervisors while keeping your professional and personal life in balance requires some emotional finesse.  The emotional fitness exercises you’ll learn in this workshop equip you with the essential skills and competencies not only to manage your emotions but to master them.  Learn how to operate the control panel of your life so that you can successfully meet the demands that are in front of you – and keep moving ahead on the things that matter most to you.

Emotional Literacy for Success

How to Inspire Adults and/or Students to Participate and Perform

Managing emotions does not happen spontaneously.  Emotional intelligence is based on the ability to understand our emotions and emotions of others. Like learning to write and read, we have to learn how to understand and express our feelings appropriately and accurately.  Whether you (or your child) find yourself at lack of words to express or communicate feelings, or you feel emotionally flustered, this workshop will give you the tools to identify and translate your feelings into words easily and effortlessly …especially when you need them the most.  Attendees will learn the true value of emotions and that  all emotions, “positive” and “negative” have purpose, and when we use them appropriately, they can help us communicate with clarity and achieve what we want more easily.

Writing Made Easy

Emotional Literacy for Students and Teachers

Like all learning problems, difficulties in writing can be devastating to a child’s education and self-esteem. As children progress through school, they are increasingly expected to express what they know about many different subjects through writing. Most children don’t have problems with the writing process but with knowing what to write about. This workshop teaches how to use emotions to organize and expand the writing content. Students will learn a simple process of using emotions to spark their creativity while keeping the focus on a story. Customized to the different academic needs, this workshop helps students advance their skills in writing a narrative and essays and indirectly helps develop and improve their emotional intelligence.

Emotional Fitness for Female Executives

Leverage Your Innate Talent

Although there is no significant difference in emotional intelligence between men and women, there is some gender specific way of processing our thoughts and emotions. Female executives who work in a predominantly male environment have adopted a “logical” way of thinking while suppressed their natural “intuitive” processing style.  Ironically, the logical linear way of thinking was developed by following intuitive guidance.  In this workshop, you’ll learn how to integrate your thinking into feeling and vice versa so that you can use your natural skills to expand your creativity, improve your communication, and increase presence as an effective leader at work and at home.

Emotional Fitness for Couples

Perfect the Art of Balancing

We all intuitively know how to keep emotional scores with people who offend us or who do not show us the level of respect we deserve, but how do we calculate this? In any relationship, we get emotionally hurt, resent the offender, open an emotional tab, keep adding “insults to injuries,” and never consciously balance our emotional accounts.  In this workshop you will learn how to intentionally clear and balance your emotional accounts so that your head and heart feel unclogged and the relationship is reset to be engaging and empowering again.

Emotional Fitness for Teens

Learn Essential Skills for Success

To excel in any area – school, sports, career or relationships – being intelligent is not enough.  The edge to rise above conflicts and navigate our way through distractions comes from being emotionally fit.  The emotional fitness exercises you’ll learn in this workshop will teach you how to disarm upsetting feelings, surf through any stressful situation and “shop” for the feelings that can benefit you.  You will learn easy-to-use techniques to manage your emotions so that you can enhance communication, engage in productive behaviors, and gain a higher sense of self-confidence.

Millennium Leadership

Guiding With Meaning

There’s nothing more valuable than to have the ability to communicate with clarity and effectiveness.  Many leaders focus on motivating instead of inspiring others.  Motivation creates an external push that is short lived while inspiration ignites long-term internal drive.   The millennium leaders know how to communicate their vision to inspire others to achieve higher performance and reach greatness.  Gain a wider prospective on the role emotions play in finding what matters and learn new strategies to be an effective communicator, manager and leader.

Whole Brain Decision Making

New Year’s Resolutions That Work

Every day we are presented with thousands of decisions to make.  While some decisions are easy to make, others can be a struggle or can weigh us down.  In this workshop, you’ll learn an easy three-step process to decision-making that will show you how to put more power in your willpower so that you can make high-impact decisions – and follow through with them.  In addition you’ll discover innovative, easy-to-learn techniques for making left-brain/right-brain decisions that are smart, timely and effective.  Gain insights into the complex process of decision making and, as a result, you’ll be able to glean the right information, appraise any situation more effectively and assume any role with greater confidence and success.
