FAQ

  1. What is coaching and is it same as psychotherapy?

Coaching is not therapy but a thought-provoking and creative partnership designed to maximize one’s personal and professional potential.

  2. Who can benefit from coaching?

If you are troubled with your feelings or life does not feel the way you imagined it and you are willing to invest time and effort to create a change, then you are a good candidate for coaching.

  3. Is there a difference between emotions and feelings?

Not really. Emotions and feelings are like thoughts and concepts – forms of information we need in order to understand and relate to the world we live in. Thoughts help you interpret your environment so that you can understand WHAT you relate to, and feelings help you experience your environment so that you understand HOW you energetically engage in it.

  4. How can I avoid feeling negative emotions?

Emotions are neither good nor bad – they are just messengers. Your emotions act like a dashboard that allows you to identify and read your internal energy. What you feel as a “negative” feeling indicates inner disharmony — your thoughts, actions and/or decisions are incongruent with your values or standards. Instead of looking at negative feelings as something undesirable, think of them as an opportunity to adjust your “course,” make better choice and demonstrate your integrity.

  5. What is emotional intelligence why is important?

The term Emotional Intelligence refers to our ability to understand, manage, and appropriately utilize our emotions. It is our capacity to receive emotional messengers and our ability to understand and respond to their messages. Emotional intelligence is also our ability to understand the feelings of others. To be emotionally fit means that we have the mental agility to apply emotional intelligence. The purpose of learning about emotions and becoming emotionally smart is to achieve a state of inner stability, confidence, and contentment. When we are emotionally literate and articulate, we are able to make informed decisions and feel truly empowered.
