Emotional Fitness & Emotional Literacy

In most areas of our lives‚ for example, education, sports, career, and health‚ we have access to a wealth of information that helps us to succeed and thrive. Ironically, in the delicate arena of our emotions, we are relatively unprepared and left to struggle on our own. With no education, instructions, or tutorials to guide our way we muddle through our emotional challenges; often feeling like amateurs, rarely like masters. But not any longer!

My mission is to promote emotional wellness in otherwise healthy people. Mental health refers to a level of cognitive and emotional well-being. Emotional fitness and emotional literacy define a state of emotional well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities to manage thoughts and feelings, has the knowledge and the flexibility to deal with life's inevitable challenges and expresses the capacity to live a fullfilling and creative life.

Delivered in a group or one-on-one setting, this program will guide you through a transformation. You will learn techniques to take charge of your feelings instead of being held hostage by them. You will learn how to turn emotions from enemies to allies. Perhaps more importantly, you will gain the clarity and courage to embrace who you are right now, the confidence to create lasting changes in your life, and skill to transform any challenge into an opportunity.

"Emina Karamanovski is a superb presenter who puts her heart and soul into her presentation. She blends scientific information with her compelling personal stories and real life examples, taking us on a fascinating journey of learning about emotions. I would highly recommend her to any group or organization."
Shea Alexander, MA, LPC-S, Clinical Director Turning Point

"The ideas I found most interesting and useful to me in your seminar were the concepts of emotional literacy and the translation of this literacy into appropriate responses to situations that trigger these emotions. The three minute time frame that you present to deal with emotional situations is intriguing. If more people knew what they were feeling and had a strategy for dealing with these feelings, I believe that society would have fewer misunderstandings and volatile situations.            "

"I wanted to reach out to let you know that I've used the information I learned in your seminar several times in the past month. My communications at work have improved a great deal thanks to your great advice --What a huge help!! "
Lori Barber, President, The Sapphire Agency

""As a practicing mental health therapist for twelve years, I am intrigued and inspired by Emina Karamanovski's approach. Her impressive, creative techniques to manage emotions are a welcome and significant addition to the field of "life skills" and wellness programs. Finding the personal meaning of our emotions brings a depth of insight and another layer to understanding and better utilizing these emotions. Her emphasis on emotional fitness instead of emotional illness points us to leading ourselves rather than passivity and victimization at the hands of our emotions. Emina's techniques provide a compass and direction to navigating our lives in contrast to being at the mercy of our feelings. I wholeheartedly recommend Emina's techniques and program from both a professional and personal perspective." "
